We have been looking at the patterns and the colours of Christmas tree branches and drawing pictures of them. Our classroom smells like Christmas!
I am so impressed with the detail of our finished pictures! Well done Little Owls.

Aurasma Word Hunt
Aurasma is an exciting new virtual reality app. Little Owls have been using Aurasma on our iPads to help us to read tricky words around our classroom.
Tesco
Little Owls have been busy with the shopping today. Writing shopping lists and using our bank cards to pay is hard work!
Halloween Crafts!
Wow! A huge thank you to everyone that attended our Halloween craft morning. We are not sure who had the most fun, the children or the grown ups.
Happy Halloween
Andy Goldsworthy inspired Art
Today we looked at cycle art by Andy Goldsworthy. We decided that we could create our own.
We searched for materials in pairs, and in our groups we sorted them.
We talked about how the circles in the picture got bigger and bigger and in our groups we made our own circle picture.
Do you like the finished result? We are very proud.
Segmenting words
We are learning to hear the sounds in simple words. Tommy is a whizz at it.
I will send home a list of words that you can practice reading and writing at home at the end of the week. 😀
Recreating Kadinsky’s Circles
Lucie, Macie and Maisie made a representation of the famous picture using rectangles.
I’m sure the children can tell you about shapes with straight edges and about shapes with one curved edge?
Circle Art
We are learning about the properties of shapes. Today we talked about round shapes and shapes with straight edges.
We have been making pictures with circles in different ways.
